SDPM data security policy

Our data protection policy sets out our commitment to protecting customer data and how we implement that commitment with respect to the collection and use of customer data.

 

We are committed to:

  • Ensure that we comply with data protection principles as listed in this term.
  • Ensuring that data is collected and used fairly and lawfully.
  • Process customer data only to meet our operational needs or meet legal and contractual requirements.
  • Establishing appropriate retention periods for customer data.
  • Ensure that customer data rights can be properly exercised.
  • Provide adequate security measures to protect customer data.
  • Ensure all staff are aware of standard practice for data protection.
  • Ensure that inquiries about data protection, both internal and external to the organization, are handled effectively and quickly.
  • Regularly review data protection procedures and guidelines within the organization.

 

Our data protection principles:

  • Customer data must be processed fairly and lawfully.
  • Customer data must be obtained for the purpose of fulfilling our contractual obligation to the Customer, and must not be further processed in any manner inconsistent with that purpose.
  • Customer data (whether processed or not processed) must not be kept longer than necessary to complete our contractual obligation to the Customer. As such, all Customer data will be automatically erased by our internal data security system 90 days after the customer project has been completed.
  • Appropriate technical and organizational measures shall be taken against unauthorized processing of Customer data, and against accidental loss, destruction or damage to Customer data. For this purpose, customer data will be stored on our servers and protected with 256-bit encryption. Each file will be protected with a unique password, which will only be maintained by the Project Manager and the consultants assigned to the project.
